The Bridge Church of Mission, TX

The Bridge Church began as Bread of Life Church of Mission. Its history goes back to 1977 where it all began as a bible study group that met every Tuesday night in different homes. Soon after this Bible study group grew to where only one house was large enough to accommodate the group. In 1984 the group also began to meet on Sunday nights in this same large house north of Mission. As the group increased, the leaders applied for and received recognition as a legal church during the spring of 1985. The first Sunday morning meeting was held on the first Sunday in September of 1985, in a rented office building. There were forty-six people present at that service. Today, Bread of Life Church is now The Bridge Church of Mission. The Bridge Church is a family church with ministries for all members of the family from newborns, toddlers to children to youth to single adults to couples to seniors. The church continues to build upon its original emphasis of world missions and evangelism. Primary emphasis is placed on teaching and preaching the Word of God.
