The purpose of the Bridge Home is provide a safe, loving environment for disadvantaged children to help them develop into responsible, contributing members of the community. We hope to enhance self-esteem,self- respect and respect for others, and provide the girls with life skills and educational support.
The Bridge Home for Children currently has two houses. Bridge I is a Level III and IV residential treatment facility strictly run by the principles of a behavior modification program created by the expertise of the Bridge staff. Bridge II is designed to serve teen mothers, ages 12 to 18, and their infants, birth to age 5. We strive to help teen mothers realize the value of bonding with their infants. This offers the opportunity to enrich their life and the life of their child, creating a better future for both.
In order to achieve these goals, we provide the following services to the girls we serve:
- Individual and group therapy
- Parenting classes
- Life skills classes
- Educational tutoring, including GED preparation
- Anger management
- Substance abuse treatment
- Medical services
- Job readiness training
- Transportation
- Child care
We believe that the family structure and setting is the foundation of success of our programs and provides positive outcomes for our children.
