The Cloven Hoof

Despite our best efforts and intentions it has become apparent that our small-batch butcher shop model is not financially sustainable as it currently exists. We have debated the future expansion of the business and after many long conversations, we have concluded that taking the next step into a larger capacity facility is not the direction we want to take the business. So, after much painful deliberation, we have decided to close our butcher shop. Our final day of business will be Saturday, August 19th. However, we will continue to serve our full menu of fresh products over the next four weeks at the shop.

We want you all to know that will never be able to fully express our gratitude to everyone that has supported us on this journey. From our humble beginnings last summer at the Clark Fork Farmers Market all the way up to today we would never have made it to where we are without you and your encouragement. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to share our passion for enjoying healthy pasture-raised meat with the Missoula community. We will miss the conversations and relationships we developed with you, our customers, most of all.

If you love the meat we are selling and are looking for a way to continue to enjoy it after we close, our farmer at Tucker Family Farm will be selling whole or half pigs direct to consumers through the fall.
