The Coffee-Xchange first opened its doors on Oct 2002 as Port City Java. It was the first full service coffee shop in Asheboro, North Carolina. It was one of the first retail establishments to provide free WiFi access; also, it provided free laptops for a time. The downtown location was opened in July 2003.
We became an independent coffee shop – "Coffee-Xchange" in April of 2005. We began offering a complete and exhaustive line of coffee and coffee based drinks. We also provide a wide variety of sandwiches, wraps and salads.
October 2009 we opened a location on the campus of Randolph Community College. This location serves only drinks.
The Coffee-Xchange, web address coffee-exchange.com, prides itself in its ambience and atmosphere; as-well-as, great coffee! Our downtown store features wall artwork done by our hometown artist Susan Harrell, and a wall open for any local artist to display their work, either for enjoyment or for sale!. Come on in to check it out and enjoy some great coffee and conversation!!!
