The Community School

At The Community School we have several programs under our roof that can accommodate different types of students and learning styles. Below is a brief description of each program.

Project Based Learning (PBL)

The Community School offers a flexible learning environment that works for many students
who want to take learning into their own hands. Project Based Learning (PBL) is that model for real-world learning
that goes beyond the classroom and stays with you forever. Below is a chart showing the typical
day for students enrolled in the PBL program at The Community School.

Medicine Wheel Advisory

Medicine Wheel Advisory connects students with their native culture and community in an educational setting.
Through personalized relationships and culturally relevant
curriculum, Medicine Wheel Advisory supports and
empowers 9th -12th grade students to be successful
learners and leaders.

Community Credit Completion(C3PO)

The C3PO program, located on The Community School campus, is designed for 11th and 12th grade students who are behind on credits. C3PO helps students complete required credits to graduate on time. Students complete authentic projects with deep investigations, research projects, and exhibitions of learning.

Contract Based Education

Contract Based Education is offered at The Community School and On Track Academy. CBE is a successful alternative for students who need help catching up on their credits. Talk to your counselor to determine if CBE is right for you.
