The Crucible

The Crucible offers adults and youth a wide variety of hands-on classes in industrial arts including welding, blacksmithing, woodworking, glass working, ceramics, enameling, mold-making, fire performance, electronics & kinetics, and much more. Our 56,000 sq. ft West Oakland warehouse space serves as a venue for publicly accessible art and events, and a gathering place for students, faculty, artists, and the broader community. Our CREATE and studio rental programs support artists and makers and help provide them with access to a wide range of tools and processes. Our corporate team building workshops help inspire teams to be more creative and innovative on the job.
