The Dancehouse: Empowering Minds, Strengthening Bodies, and Embracing Positive Expression.

The Dancehouse is a brand new dance studio and small theatre space that is created for fine and performing artists. We provide a safe and affordable sanctuary for all skill levels, ages, and artistic endeavors. The Dancehouse, currently based in a warehouse in The East Village district of downtown San Diego, was formed in 2012 out of need for more consistent and convenient rehearsal space. Over the last year, Dancehouse has begun to expand to offering dance classes and rental spaces to the general public. Our current classes include: hip hop, burlesque, and belly dance. We look forward to adding ballet, jazz, yoga, and ballroom in the near future. Currently, we are home to Groove Basics, Renacimiento: Mexican Folklore Dance Company, Dancers Who Donate, KiK Dance Company, Artistic Renegades, Bite Jazz Dance Company, Visual Stimulus Events, Rock Church Dog Ministry Storage, JADE Competition, KE Casting, StyleMatix Crew, Freestyle Fridays, Rock Church Salsa Ministry, Catalyst Dance Ensemble, Nucleus Dance Team, Rock Church Sunday Church Microsite, and Kruciaal Element Dance Company. We are still currently renting out space to local companies, teachers, and independent contractors; the current rates for studio rentals are $10/hour for regular renters, $15 for one time renters, $25/hour for show rentals, and $50/hour for parties.
