The Emergency Feeding Program exists to serve a basic need--hunger. Our job is to make sure that no one in King County has to go hungry tonight.
Hunger is everywhere in our community, from the suburbs on the Eastside to South King County to the streets of Downtown Seattle. It affects everyone: working families, the elderly, young adults--even children. EFP offers a “first response” to hunger that meets people’s immediate need for food.
We pack 15 varieties of nutritionally balanced, culturally sensitive nonperishable Food Packs that we make available to people in our community who are experiencing hunger. We work with over 180 Partner Agencies--including schools, public health clinics and churches--to meet our clients wherever they are and to guide them to the long-term resources they need to get back on their feet.
We do not turn anyone away.
