The Empowerment Center of Oxford

The Empowerment Center is home of Empowerment Ministries of Oxford, an organization that empowers people to live empowered lives. We are NOT a church, we are a ministry chosen to fulfill the call of God in our community.

Our plans include:

Women Empowering Women
We are committed to serving God, meeting the needs of the community and empowering women to live empowered lives. Commissioned by Luke 4:18-19, we use biblical principles and offer practical tools for leading a joyous, abundant and peaceful life in Christ Jesus. We aspire to strengthen each person's confidence at every point in their life, and encourage personal and spiritual growth through prayer, support and active service in our churches and community.

Kids Empowerment Enrichment Program
We will offer tutoring, reading programs and homework assistant. These programs will operate Monday - Friday, 2:15 pm - 6:00 pm. The goal of this program is to empower youth for educational success.

GED Classes
Our goal is to partner with Vance Granville Community College to offer General Education Diploma classes to give adult leaners the opportunity to complete their high school education. These program will be offered Monday and Wednesday evenings, 6 pm - 9 pm.

Food Drive & Clothing Give away
At different times throughout the year we will hold food drives and clothing give aways to assist those in need, fulfiling Matthew 25:35-36.

Multi-use Facility "The perfect venue for your perfect event"
Rental is $35 an hour with a 3 hour minimum.
Kitchen includes stove and refrigerator.
Main room seats 125 theater style and about 100 for sit down dinners.
Small room seats about 65 theater style and about 50 for sit down dinners.

The facility is available for rent for various events such as birthday dinners, family reunions, church/civic events, weddings, receptions, corporate meetings and more.

Tables and chairs are available with rental.
