The Family Farmstead

As we became aware of how damaging modern agricultural practices have become for all aspects of creation, we became very passionate about joining in the movement towards healing some of that damage. We believe that through a more traditional farming system that mimics nature's ecology we will be able to work towards a more healthy future, for generations to come. 2014 marks the culmination of a few years planning as The Family Farmstead gets up and running and will be a major building year for us.

We will be establishing both breeding and laying flocks of chickens which will provide eggs both for eating and hatching, chicks, hens and roosters at any age, as well as chicken meat, all for sale from the farm.

We will also be establishing a small herd of cattle to begin working towards grass finished beef production. For our cattle, we will do mob grazing with daily moves into fresh pasture.

We are committed to maintaining a high quality of life throughout all stages of our animal's lives as we believe that an animal's quality of life directly effects is nutritive value.
