The Farm School

The Farm School is located on 200+ acres in Athol, Massachusetts.

Our Learn to Farm program for adults is a year-long, rigorous immersion in the seasonal lifestyle of a traditional New England diversified farm, focused on organic production and sustainability. New sessions begin in September of every year, and we accept applications for around 16 students on a rolling basis.

Also on the farm is our Program for Visiting Schools, which brings more than 2,000 kids a year for multi-day farm experiences where they are integrated fully into the operations of the farm. Our Chicken Coop School is a farm-based middle school for local seventh and eighth graders, and our Summer Camp for fifth through twelfth graders runs during June and July.

We run two large CSAs, one for organic veggies and one for pastured-raised meats, and participate in the Watertown and Athol Farmers Market every week of the summer months.

The Farm School helps people connect to land by teaching children and adults to grow healthy food, become stewards of the earth, and foster the connections that build community.
