In 1902, Rev. Jan (John) Schiller with the assistant of Rev. Dr. Horatio Olmstead, organized the Czech Presbyterian Church of Sealy in a small frame rent house four miles southeast of Sealy. This was the first organized Czech Presbyterian Church in Texas. In 1903 a building was at the corner of Sixth and Hardeman and in 1906 the Sealy church was included in the Presbytery of Houston.
On Nov. 3, 1911, the church became a part of the Southwest Czech Presbytery, A hurricane lifted the church building from its foundation in 1932, after which a new church building as erected.
In 1962 an educational building was joined to the church structure and on 1977 a fellowship was added.
In 1998, the church purchased four acres adjacent to Selman Elementary School. The current church building was completed on that site in 2003 thanks to generous donations of the Petrusek family and other church members.
