The Flying Chipmunk Cabin In Butte Meadows

Located in the quaint town of Butte Meadows, centered in Lassen National Forest near Lassen National Volcanic Park & only a 35 minute drive from Chico! Set up for outdoor entertaining with a large deck & patio, featuring a fire pit & BBQ grill. Perfect any time of the year for a family getaway; quick romantic trip or just a little quiet time with your favorite people!


Enjoy the outdoors on Butte Creek, fishing, swimming, hiking & yet have all the convenience of local restaurants & bars.

When you enter the cabin you will be greeted by a cozy cabin living room with a wood stove and a open-style, fully equipped kitchen with eating bar. There is also a flat screen TV with DVD player. Off the main living room you will find a full bathroom, a washer & dryer, and the first of 2 bedrooms. This bedroom is the more private of the 2 and has a full size bed. Upstairs you will find additional living space in a loft style 2nd story. There is one queen size bed, a full size fold out futon sleeper and a small TV with built in VHS player; PLUS a pool table and an additional ½ bathroom.

Simply hang out at the cabin enjoying the peace & quiet and starry skies, or go out and venture along the neighboring Butte Creek; enjoying fishing & swimming. Venture a little further and find hiking trails through the forest or to nearby lakes. Drive no more than 5 minutes into town and visit the historic Outpost for a bite to eat or relax by the fire in their full bar. Also, worth a stop is the Bambi Inn, another historic bar with lots of local charm. Both of these places will be helpful in getting you more information on nearby attractions.
