The Flying Frog Bed and Breakfast

In May of 2011 we purchased a bank repo in the form of a 3 story 5,000 square foot Italianate style home built in 1875 on Main Street in the quaint but growing town of Franklin, Indiana just 3 blocks from the town square. After staying in B&B's on vacations for the 20 years we have been married we always thought we would enjoy being inn keepers. We decided life is short and went for it. After a 16 month renovation we opened in September, 2012. We have four nice sized guest rooms each with a private ensuite bath. Each of the rooms is themed after a favorite vacation spot. The Provence Room is decorated in French country with a queen size bed w/a headboard custom made from old shutters. The Giovanni is old world Tuscan style with golden Venetian style walls, a draped king size bed, interesting black & white artwork and a large tiled bathroom w/a classic Roman tub and handheld shower. Pernilla's Room has a Scandinavian theme. It has a queen size bed and antique Swedish monastery chairs. Our 1940's Paris Room is painted a vibrant red with a crystal chandelier over the king size iron bed. The large black and white bathroom features a unique vessel sink and a big walk-in shower. We have a large covered front porch and a New Orleans style balcony for guests to enjoy. We are located only 3 blocks from the Historic Artcraft Theater which shows classic movies, several restaurants & shops and the history museum. There are walking trails and nearby malls including Edinburgh Premium Outlet Mall. Lots of things to to do when you visit and only 20 miles south of downtown Indianapolis.
