Mindy Fitzpatrick and her husband, Matt, and own The Friendly Market. They opened the market in the spring of 2008, with Mindy's main job being providing homemade baked goods to be sold at the market. She started with simple well-known items such as cookies, breads and pies. Very soon after opening, she realized people were interested in a little something different, so she slowly started introducing some family recipes that were out of the ordinary and not your run of the mill baked goods. New additions early on included basil bread with fresh mozzarella, mango bread and an immediate hit, tomato pie. Almost overnight, there became a high demand for her baked goods and a great interest to see what she would bring to the market next.
Mindy continued to create and search for new recipes that, not only are tasteful and different, but also include the freshest, local ingredients.
