The Garden House at Sarvisberry sits amidst flowers, berries and vegetables overlooking a 2-acre pond. As the crow flies, it is only half-a-mile from the Blue Ridge Parkway. This is the first time the cabin, built from blighted hemlock harvested from the 30-acre farm, is being offered to guests. Enjoy a perfect moment of peace and tranquility as you awake to the sounds of birds and have your locally-roasted morning coffee in rockers on the porch. After breakfast, stroll the grounds, take a dip in the pond, breathe the mountain air. At day’s end, enjoy a glass of local wine on the porch, as you watch the sun set over the pond.

If you can force yourself to leave the farm, you are only 2 miles from Chateau Morrisette, Villa Appalaccia and FloydFest, 20 minutes to the Floyd Country Store and are surrounded by excellent hiking trails (Rocky Knob, Rock Castle Gorge and Buffalo Mountain) and artists’ studios. Fiber artist and owner Gibby Waitzkin‘s studio and gallery are on the property and workshops can be scheduled by special request.

The cabin is furnished with a king-sized bed, kitchenette, newly installed bathroom, internet and is filled with beautiful woodwork, antique furniture and local crafts.

Perfect for a couple wanting to get away. Two night minimum. $125 weekdays, $145 weekends. [Queen-sized Aerobed available - $25 per night for each additional person. Two couple maximum.)
