More about the Gathering

Since 2013, the Gathering has been a community of faith and doubt in greater Fargo-Moorhead. Committed to doing church differently, the Gathering has provided space for those who did not feel welcome in typical church settings. This means viewing all music as sacred, having conversations instead of sermons, and welcoming all people no matter where they are on their journey.

As of today, the Gathering is entering a new season by moving from meeting weekly on Sundays to occasional get-togethers. What does this mean for our community? Though we will no longer meet regularly, the Gathering will continue to be a rich place of friendship, love and support, community, and faith and doubt.

Plans are in the works for upcoming parties, book clubs, and gatherings, so stay tuned to this page for more info...
Just don't show up at the Stage on Sunday mornings -- we won't be there.

Thank you to all who have contributed time, energy, and assets to the Gathering. The church is not the building, it is the people, and we are grateful.
--------------------------------------------
The Gathering is a collection of people at all points of their own various journeys coming together, seeking community that loves God and neighbor as Jesus taught.

If you've had a bad experience with church...

If you've had no experience with church at all...

If you are not sure what you believe...

If you are confident in faith but want to be challenged...

If you are fed up with closed minded religious people...

If you are looking for a way of life instead of a system of doctrine...

the Gathering may be for you.

Don't worry about your particular faith tradition (or lack thereof). We welcome you who ever you are, right where you are at on your journey. Events at the Gathering are current, casual, thought provoking, inspiring, and uplifting. We welcome ALL people -- no matter race, color, creed, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or familial status.
