The Grain Store Gallery is housed in a really small shed that used to be, about a hundred years or so ago, a grain store. After it outlasted its usefulness as the Penobscot agricultural commerce hub, it was either sold or given away. The new owners moved it to its current location where it served as animal barn, workshop, wood shed and most possibly other important functions that became forgotten with years.
Honestly scheduled for demolition it got pardoned and turned into a gallery which is showcasing original digital prints of coastal Maine, one of the most beautiful places on Earth. Along with the photographs you will find a few carefully picked antique decorative items.
