The Gundry Guitar Institute

The Gundry Guitar Institute is an educational facility dedicated to the art of the guitar. We are not a retail store and only offer lessons for the guitar. We are located in a brand new facility and your lessons will be held in a professional recording studio with space and comfortable surroundings.
Rob Gundry is a graduate with a Certificate from Berklee University in Boston as a Guitar Specialist. He has studied with Warren Haynes (Allman Brothers, Government Mule) G.E.Smith (Bob Dylan Band, Bandleader for Saturday Night Live) Bob Margolin (Guitarist for Muddy Waters) Spencer Bohren (World wide performer from New Orleans) Bill Kirchen (Commander Cody and Too Much Fun) Michael Falzarano (Hot Tuna, Memphis Pilgrims, Levon Helms All Star Band) and Jorma Kaukonen (Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee with Jefferson Airplane, Hot Tuna, Solo artist).
We specialize in beginners of all ages using one hour lesson times. Our courses are taught in very small classes (no more than six) and we separate age groups so our adult students will be together and the younger students separate to meet their individual needs. We also accommodate classes where parents and their children can learn together!
Our goal is to educate our students into the full experience that is the guitar. From the beginning we teach about the instrument, its care and all of its history and varieties, critical listening to understand its role, techniques used in playing. The music side is not based in traditional staff music but in easy to understand visual presentations. We use multimedia presentations to provide a higher level of understanding.
Above all The Gundry Guitar Institute is focused on FUN. To help our students learn and explore the guitar in order for them to create their OWN music while providing a foundation for a lifetime of enjoyment.
