The Haven of Transylvania County

The Haven is an 18 bed homeless shelter. We provide our residents with more than shelter, we help them find long term solutions to their problems. Residents may stay up to 90 days. A goal plan is put in place within a week of their entry and progress is monitored.

The Haven Family House is a 5 bedroom house renovated into a temporary shelter for families. Families can stay here a longer period of time and are expected to achieve goals set per individual family.

Both shelters offer laundry facilities, mail and message services, zero tolerance for drugs and alcohol.

Upon intake interview, potential residents undergo an extensive background check. Residents that have violent crimes or recent felonies, may not be considered for tenancy.
