The Henry Viscardi School (HVS) was a vision of our founder Dr. Henry Viscardi in 1961. Born without legs, Dr. Viscardi believed without a doubt that children with disabilities could rise to great heights and fulfill their dreams. His commitment to children with disabilities led to the creation of our school which proudly bears his name.
Serving approximately 185 students, the exceptional staff at HVS includes highly trained educators, physical and occupational therapists, speech teachers, school nurses, psychologists, and social workers.
Located in Albertson, New York, on the attractive 15-acre campus of The Viscardi Center, HVS is easily accessible from New York City, Westchester, and all areas of Long Island.
