The HOME TEMPLE was incorporated as an IRS 503(c) non-profit church and seminary in 2003 after operating on the internet since 1998. Its mission is to promote and make publicly available the pre-Christian teachings and spiritual practices of Yeshua, the historical Jesus, as modern biblical scholarship can recover and reconstruct them. These are not the doctrines and dogmas of Christianity, but authentic spiritual teachings that were misunderstood or lost to the New Testament and other early Christian literature. Presiding Bishop Lewis Keizer, M.Div., Ph.D. educates, trains, and ordains women and men into 22 lines of valid Apostolic Succession for non-professional home churches and chaplaincies operating as a Community of the New Humanity.
