About Us

- Started on July 4th, 1976 with three couples in a living room in Colonial Heights, VA by Pastors Steve and Sharon Stells, our Founding Pastors.

- Our Lead Pastors are Jonathan and Ami Stells. You can read more about them on the Pastors Page.

- HOP steadily grew to a region influencing apostolic church.

- We have planted churches all over the Richmond area and all over the East Coast.

- We also have planted churches and schools all over the world and have a major influence internationally on the continents of Africa, Asia, and Europe.

- Our vision is to build an authentic church locally, expand God’s Kingdom globally, love Jesus, and serve people everywhere.

- We are a multi-site, multi-cultural, multi-generational church with two campuses in Chesterfield, VA.

- We are a life-giving, charismatic, non-denominational church with powerful worship experiences every weekend.

- Our main campus is located on 80 acres of land in a debt free building in the heart of Chesterfield County right off of route 288 and the Courthouse Road exit, at 10500 Newbys Bridge Road. Our Westchester campus is located in the Shoppes at Westchester off 288 and Midlothian Turnpike.

- Our heart is to connect people to Jesus Christ and disciple them in the context of the local church, affecting our entire region so that we can give even more to the nations of the world.

- We have a casual church culture and want everyone to feel loved and welcomed. Jeans and t-shirts are totally allowed.

- Our worship experience at our Central campus is on Sunday mornings at 9 and 11am. Our worship experience at our Westchester campus is on Sunday mornings at 10. We welcome you to attend any that you wish.
