The Independent Roman Catholic Church

I'm talking about the millions of free-thinking Roman Catholics who populate the pews in Roman Catholic parishes every weekend throughout the world.

I'm talking about the thousands/millions of Roman Catholics who take exception to the doctrine of the Roman Catholic church e.g. infallibility of the pope and councils, universal jurisdiction of the pope, real presence of Christ in the eucharist, the trinity, Marian doctrines, etc.

I'm talking about the thousands/millions of Roman Catholics who take exception to other teachings of the Roman Catholic church e.g. birth control, abortion, right to die, just war, homosexuality, celibacy, ordination of women and married men, etc.

With this much dissent, does that not constitute an independent Roman Catholic church within the Roman Catholic church?

With the world-wide proliferation of hundreds/thousands of independent Catholic churches, does this not prove the existence of an independent Roman Catholic church?

Whether traditionalist, conservative, moderate, progressive, or liberal, Jesus' ideal and call to unity requires a Roman Catholic church that is open to and accepting of all Christian persons and those other persons of good will.

That is THE INDEPENDENT ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH that I seek.

Is such a structure/organization possible? I believe it is. But, and this is a HUUUGE but, it must be free of legalisms and built instead on faith, compassion, mercy, forgiveness, reconciliation, and love. In other words, it must appeal to the best of what it means to be the sons and daughters of the God Who created us.
It must have leaders who are not afraid to be led by the urgings of the Holy Spirit and act decisively on those urgings.

Isn't it time for free-thinking Roman Catholics to come out of their closets, come together, and be THE INDEPENDENT ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH that they are already?
