The Kevin P. Kane Memorial Fund

Kevin Paul Kane lost his life due to the chemicals release at the Nyanza Chemical Dye Plant in Ashland, Ma in 1998 at the age of 26. Kevin's advocacy lead to the Ashland Health Study in 2006 which concluded that the cluster of cancers in Ashland were directly related to the chemicals dumped into the waterways by the Nyanza Chemical Dye Company. Kevin's courage and persistence saved thousands of lives. The Kane family continues to raise money for cancer and has created the Kevin P. Kane Memorial Fund to give scholarship money to Ashland youth who are planning on studying in fields to help their community and give the "Courageous Award," for someone who displays great courage and character.
