More about The Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies

The Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI Global) is the worlds premier post-graduate dental education center that focuses on physiologic based aesthetic dentistry and offers a variety of continuing dental education courses to dental professionals.

LVI Global’s 5 acre campus has 60,000 sq/ft of educational space in 2 large buildings which include: 7 lecture halls, 1 teaching center with 12 monitor stations for a more individualized viewing experience, 60 bench hands-on laboratory, 2 live patient clinics containing 20 working dental operatories with state of the art diagnostic equipment and a teaching operatory that allows video of procedures to be broadcast to other locations around campus. The first building (Hillwood) was completed in 1998 and the Hillshire building followed in 2003.

LVI Global has long been involved in post-doctoral education in advanced dental treatment and application of technology and celebrated it's 20th anniversary in 2015. LVI utilizes a wide variety of teaching formats including lecture, over the shoulder, hands-on as well as live-patient treatment. Attendees are also mentored by doctors who have had success integrating the LVI techniques into their practice.

The scope of the programs covers most all aspects of dentistry, from advanced adhesive restorations, occlusion, implants, dentures, treating sleep breathing disorders and so much more. Additionally, the fundamental core of the LVI experience is centered around Physiologic Based Occlusion.

The rapid growth and development of understanding lower jaw position and the resulting impact on airway has led to a clear focus on physiologic importance to the airway. The growth and development of the dental arches and helping to promote proper structure and function is discussed in the Core courses as well asf the Ortho, Denture and Advanced programs. Also discussed is the resulting poor airway architecture and the possible Obstructive Sleep Apnea and various other associated Sleep Disorders are dealt with in the Physiology of Sleep programs.

There are a variety of other programs covering a wide variety of dentistry from the Implant continuum of both surgical and prosthetic education to the denture courses to radiographic imaging courses to periodontal management programs. In addition, the skills that are required to create a productive practice focused on excellence in dentistry as well as optimizing the patient's experience via the 'patient centered practice'.

Another very valuable advantage in the LVI educational system is the hand-in-hand relationship with the teaching labs. Laboratory technology and personnel are integrated into the doctor curriculum as well as a series of laboratory programs designed to offer the technician a vehicle to provide excellence to their client doctors.
