WE ARE A 501 (c) (3) NOT-FOR-PROFIT CHARITY
Our Outreach is a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit charity. We are an all volunteer staff. All donations go directly to the Veterans that we interact with. While we do receive private donations , we do not seek or receive any government donations, grants or funding.

All interaction between our Outreach and veterans, their family members, agencies, organizations representing veterans is strictly confidential. We do require a copy of your DD214 and a valid government issued photo I.D,. THIS IS MANDATORY.

Our primary focus is Homeless veterans, veterans placed in transition housing, veteran suicide prevention, veterans with PTSD and veterans with substance abuse problems. We will provide direct links for additional required assistance. In all instances we will continue to assist the veterans through the entire process and follow up periodically to ensure that all needs are satisfied.

We are not a financial organization and as such we do not provide direct monetary assistance or provide loans. In emergency situations, if funds are available, we will provide financial assistance with the business or organization that needs to be paid.

We provide back packs or care packages with personal care products, socks, gloves, hats, toilet paper, wipes, certain non-perishable foods, canned fruit and additional forms of protein. For female veterans we will also provide feminine hygiene products. (this is limited to veterans within a 50 mile radius of our Office in Garrison, NY)

For veterans entering transitional housing we provide bedding and linens, bathroom supplies, personal care items, pots and pans, paper goods, flatware, plates and glasses. towels and cleaning supplies. If required, we will also provide clothing. Cold weather clothing is available as well. . (this is limited to veterans within a 50 mile radius of our Office in Garrison, NY)

We do not assist veterans with “Bad Paper” (Discharges under less that honorable conditions). This policy is FIRM.
