I started working leather 16 years ago when I landed a job at Drew's Boots in Klamath Falls, Oregon, as a Repairman. I fell in love with working leather, and started crafting knife sheaths, belts, and holsters after work on my kitchen table. A few years later, I left the boot shop and moved to Colorado to pursue my rodeo career, but I could never let go of the leather work I loved, and began repairing saddles. I would pick the brain of every leather craftsman I met, seeking the hows and whys of the very best leather working techniques.
Eventually, I got the opportunity to run a large ranch in Nevada, and after spending alot of time in the saddle, it all made more sense. I moved back home to Klamath Falls, and was fortunate to have the opportunity to work with Conrad Koppenhafer, one of the top saddle makers in the country. Conrad helped me refine my carving skills, and how to build saddles to fit the horse and the rider. While working with him, I got to share ideas with some of the world's top craftsmen.
Today, I continue to hone my skills producing finely detailed leather work for people who desire the quality of unique craftsmanship.
