The Living Room

We invite you to join us in a relaxed atmosphere, and come as you are while you check us out. We don’t act like church in the way you may know it. We think it’s all about real people, coming together, asking real questions, seeking a real God that loves and cares about each one of us and what happens in our daily lives. So come and visit one of our Sunday events where we sing, meet people, share coffee and goodies, and explore God’s story and how it might play out in our lives as we love and serve him.

The Living Room is a group of people who take very seriously, Jesus call on our lives, to be a certain kind of people in the world. And we believe with great passion that God has not abandoned us or has given up on the world. We believe that God is in the business of rescuing and restoring lives through his son, Jesus. We believe that Jesus conquered death and is inviting people to be in relationship with him, and he is inviting us to join him in this restoration process.

We believe that this movement of God starts with each one of us and that God wants to put each of us back together again. And we also believe that God wants us to join him in this work of putting people back together again, because when God made the world, God said; “It is good!”

And so for us, this story, we see first and foremost in God’s story, the Bible, and so when we gather each week, we look to God’s story and ask the question, what’s going on in the story, what can we learn from it so we can take it and live it out in our daily lives.

We believe that God has called us to serve our community without agenda . . . motivated by love. We take serious the call on us to discover what it means to be “sent” into the world and discover how we are called to put “flesh” on the gospel (the good news) as we live in our homes, neighborhoods, and workplaces.
