The Moore Farm

In our century of farming, this place has gone through many changes. In the early 1900's our farm started out as summer grazing for our great grandparent's beef cattle. As the years moved on the homestead was built and barns added. During the 1950's we were primarily a dairy farm. The farm was active up until 1969 when the farm went into a static mode. Then in 2005 we began the clearing and piecing back together of the farm we are today. We produce pasture based black angus beef, pork and turkeys. Our meat chickens are raised in 10'X12'X2' high floorless coops that are moved daily to fresh pasture till the birds are processed at or around 8 weeks. Each coop holds about 80 birds that receive fresh air, exercise, sunshine, and free access to locally grown feed. All this makes for a delicious and nutritious chicken. We have come a long way from the beginning and we are still learning and will be forever growing with the needs of our patrons.
