Home designed by Myrtle Herring and built in 1941, is located just blocks from the depot. Roseboro was a busy railroad town and Mrs. Herring, better known as "Mert" took in boarders. The home is now owned by her great granddaughter and operates as a Bed & Breakfast. The upstairs offers a private entrance to the top floor that consist of 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, sitting area and kitchen. The Magnolia Room has a king bed and is decorated in pink,taupe,beige and green tones. Silk and velvet drapes add a luxurious feel to the beautifully appointed antiques. The Martha Washington has a queen bed and this room is decorated in hues of crimson, sunflower and hunter green. Both rooms have HDTVS, satellite and Wi-Fi. The kitchen features microwave, coffee maker and a frig stocked with your favorite beverage. A southern style breakfast is served in the downstairs dining room on china dated to late 1890s, sterling silverware and "Mert's" dining table. Other meals are served for a nominal fee and reservations are required.
