The Nehemiah Center

Christian Community Development program of First Baptist Church Montgomery's Community Ministries. The Center serves at-risk children and families in the Chisholm community. The Nehemiah Center offers a free GED program, a Jobs Readiness program, multiple parenting programs, mentoring programs, tutoring, a free after-school program (including sports, arts, 4-H, & other enrichment activities), and an Open-Gym night.The Nehemiah Center also offers a free summer program for children K-6th grade. As part of the Christian Community development model, the Center partners with other organizations serving the community such as Chisholm Boys & Girls club, Family Guidance, Success by Six, YMCA, Team Focus, 4-H, and others. Just as Nehemiah rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem, we strive to restore a broken and hurting community through the healing love of Jesus Christ.
