The Orchard School, a non-sectarian, coeducational, preschool to eighth grade school, was founded 95 years ago by nine women committed to progressive education and experiential learning. On its 42.9-acre campus, The Orchard School hosts an average of 600 students and is accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Central States (ISACS) and the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS).
Orchard students experience their education and achieve academic excellence through critical thinking, application of knowledge, and problem solving. In addition to having learned social responsibility and diversity, 85 percent of Orchard graduates are honor roll or high honors students in high school and many become National Merit Scholarship finalists.
