The Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Center

THE ORTHOPAEDIC AND SPORTS MEDICINE CENTER, LLC was established in 1976, by its founder Dr. Marshall K. Steele, III. He was later joined by his father Marshall K. Steele, Jr., and Dr. Stephen Faust in 1979. Dr. Marshall K. Steele III can be credited with developing the first comprehensive Sports Medicine Program in Anne Arundel County to serve the student athletes of the county’s high schools. OSMC was also the first Orthopaedic group in Annapolis to initiate subspecialty orthopaedic care for their patients. The practice was also instrumental in the development of the Center for Joint Replacement at Anne Arundel Medical Center in 1996. Today, OSMC has grown to 17 board certified orthopaedic surgeons, with advanced training in their respective subspecialties, which include foot and ankle, knee and hip, hand and upper extremity,spine, total joint reconstruction, arthroscopic and microvascular surgeries, sports medicine, pediatric disorders, bone and joint disease, arthritis, fractures and emergency trauma. In addition OSMC has a physiatrist, podiatrist, six physician assistants, and one certified nurse practitioner, which continue to assist with outstanding patient care.

Locations

OSMC has four convenient office locations, Annapolis, Bowie Millersville, and Odenton. These offices provide on-site services, including X-ray, physical therapy, occupational therapy, casts, splints, and orthotics. At all locations, patients are provided with free on-site parking and easy access.
