NOT ALL VEHICLE STORAGE FACILITIES ARE CREATED EQUAL. . ..PERIOD! We are not the cheapest, but if you do the comparison below, you will see that SAFEST AND BEST VALUE!

Some competitors believe that 4 walls surrounding your prized vehicle constitute a "SECURE, CLIMATE CONTROLLED, INSURED" facility. We call that a storage unit, a garage, or in some cases, a freezer!

CLIMATE CONTROLLED: Be sure to ask to questions: "How is your facility heated?" "What is the thermostat set at?" and "How will you know if the temperature goes below the set temperature?"

The Paddock is heated by two thermostatically controlled 350,000btu heat units set at 60 degrees with freeze sensors that text my phone and email me if the temp goes below 45 degrees. Temperature is also remotely monitored on my phone. Some competitors represent they are heated when they are not. You should visit them - check out the heating system and thermostat setting.

INSURANCE: Also ask: "Do you carry a GARAGE KEEPERS POLICY?" If they say anything else but "YES I DO", you need to RUN! Only a Garage Keepers Policy will cover your vehicle in the event of an unfortunate or negligent act. If they do not have this policy, YOU will have to collect from YOUR carrier and your rates will go up. (if you don't believe me, call your insurance carrier) Ask for a copy of the policy.

The Paddock carries a $1mm to $3mm Garage Keepers Policy (depending on occupancy) written through HAGERTY BUSINESS INSURANCE (yes that "Hagerty" -- THE classic vehicle insurance people!)

SECURITY: What kind of neighborhood is it located in? Would YOU walk there at night? WHO has access to the facility? Is the owner notified if a door opens, power failure or alarm is disarmed? Does the facility have a full security system with door, motion, glass break, fire, CO and freeze detectors? Is the alarm system connected to a 24/7 central station? How? (phone lines or cellular). Doe the system have a battery backup?

The Paddock is located at the Monmouth Executive Airport in Wall NJ. A VERY SAFE town AND area. Currently, there are only 2 individuals with access to the facility. The Paddock is alarmed with door, motion, glass break, fire, CO and freeze detectors. It is connected to a 24/7 central station via a CELLULAR connection -- no wires to cut. I receive a text in the event of a power outage, if a door gets opened or the alarm is set off. The system also has a battery backup.

DEHUMIDIFICATION: You should ask about the systems. How many units? Are they plumbed to drains or are they "empty when full"?

The Paddock has 4 units plumbed to drains that run 24/7. They DO NOT shut off when full.

Is the owner a "car guy"? Does he promote the hobby?
Does the owner have his own cars in the facility?
Are they "baiting" you with a free month's rent because "free is never free".
