The Place of Peace

The Place of Peace is an area ministry based on the Catholic Worker Movement started by Dorothy Day. Each week, people of all walks of life gather together at our facility to share a common meal, prayers, conversation and their lives. Our cooks come from all over Stevens Point and Central Wisconsin and the menu varies widely. The Place of Peace also functions as a food pantry to those who show up on Thursday evenings and are in need of groceries.

So if you have never joined us for a meal, swing on down to 1948 Church Street at 5:00PM and break bread with us! All are welcome and appreciated!
