The Presbyterian Church of Le Sueur

Our church membership enjoys the gifts of hospitality, generosity, friendliness, great humor and the desire to continue to be a learning community that interacts with scripture. We are a group short in numbers but strong in faith. Our gifts include musical, literary and educational gifts, an ecumenical outlook that allows us to take our small numbers and work with other congregations, and strong community leadership (i.e. Habitat for Humanity, Hospice, Leader Dogs, EMT, Rotary, Youth Opportunities, hospital boards). We support One Great Hour of Sharing, the Joy Offering and the Unified Missions of the Presbyterian Church.

And we have an artist reminding us to play, outstanding cooks reminding us that Presbyterian potlucks are unequalled, and farmers that are still amazed when a thousand acres actually come up every spring. We come from many different walks of life: blue collar, white collar, rich, poor, all with differing perspectives, but are dedicated to seeking justice, loving kindness, and walking humbly with our God.

We believe in the one triune God, salvation through Jesus Christ and the presence of the Holy Spirit. We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God, but acknowledge that, as humans, we struggle with understanding. We believe in God the Creator and feel it is our responsibility to care for that creation. We believe in following Christ’s example by nurturing and caring for those who are spiritually and physically in need.
