The Red Octopus

The Red Octopus is a vacation rental home located in the scenic fourteen-mile stretch of beach collectively known as the "4x4 Beaches."

With only the sand as your road, a four-wheel-drive vehicle is required, as you must actually drive on the beach to access vacation homes. One of the reasons so many vacationers flock to the Outer Banks is the thrill of driving on the beach, a rare privilege that few East Coast beach vacation destinations can offer.

This uncomplicated area is made up of dense marine forests, marshy soundside coves and protected nature preserves.
