The original bungalow was built in 1927, and was known as Burlwood Lodge, belonging to Miss Florence Miller. The home was expanded and modernized in the 1990's, with the addition of a kitchen, dining area and large wraparound deck facing the river. It has 2 bedrooms and one bathroom in the main house, and a self contained garden "Casita", with Queen bed, bathroom ,and small kitchenette.
The original, charming, cozy wood paneled living room has a river rock gas powered fireplace.
The deck provides a serene view of the river, with direct river access from the garden. The home is sheltered by 5 beautiful Redwoods, one on each corner of the house, and one growing right through the middle of the kitchen (the addition was built around it)
The trees provide cool shade in the hot Healdsburg summer, and skylights throughout provide plenty of light, and a great view of the Redwoods towering above.
