The Rhythm Factory - Vocal & Dance Experience

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:

PreK 3 yr. old Dance (A combo class of Ballet, & Tap; 30 minutes a week) 3 years old

PreK 4 yr. old Dance
(A combo class of Ballet, Tap and Acrobatics; 45 minutes a week) 4 years old

Music & Movement (A specialty class combining singing and ear training, while learning basic rhythms through movement and toy instruments. A great class for girls AND boys!) 4-5 yr. old

Dance I (A combo class of Ballet, Tap and Pre-Jazz; 1 hour a week) K-2nd grade or teacher's approval

Dance II (A combo class of Ballet, Tap and Jazz; 1hr. 15min. per week) 2nd-4th grade or teacher's approval

Dance III (A combo class of Ballet, Tap and Jazz; 1hr. 30min. per week) 4th-6th grade or teacher's approval

Jr. Lyrical & Contemporary (An introductory class for students Level II and III looking to expand their ballet repertoire. The Lyrical and Contemporary styles are more cutting-edge and emotion-driven.) Grades 3-6 or upon teacher's approval.

Dance IV (Can combine any of the following classes you wish: Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary) Intermediate/Advanced Middle & High Schoolers

"Fuzion" (A specialty class blending singing, dancing and dramatic arts; students will study various styles and eras of music history.) 3 levels for beginner, intermediate and advanced students

Vocal Technique (A class designed to help singers improve upon techniques such as diction, breathing, pitch and projection, as well as helping them find their unique individual voices.) Ages 8-12

Hip Hop (Urban-infused dance style that will get you fit and having fun!)
3 levels for beginner, intermediate and advanced students

Technique & Conditioning/Jumps & Turns (Required for RY students that want to incorporate jumps and turns into their routines; all other students 8 and up welcome. Will also incorporate lifts and acro into this class. A great supplemental class to Ballet for more serious dancers.)


Dramatic Arts (Explores the world of theatre, from stage to screen! Acting and improv exercises, theatre history, behind the scenes and more!) Jrs. = Grades 2-6 or teacher's approval; Srs. = Grades 7-12 or teacher's approval

Private Vocal Coaching for ages 13 ad up!

*Specialty Workshops* (each phase of the workshop will be studied in 5-week increments)

Workshop 1: Stage Makeup, Stage Combat, Costume Construction
Workshop 2: Choreography & Improvisation, Pre-Pointe, Convention Prep
Workshop 3: Film Making, A Capella Voice, Songwriting

These make a great add-on to any of our regular classes! Certain requirements may apply to register for these workshops...ask us for details!


"Rhythmic Youth" aka RY - TRF's Performance Group (singers, dancers and actors) that participates in various events throughout the Purchase Area each year. For students 8 years of age or older who are disciplined, dedicated, and passionate about the arts. *NOTE: You must attend one of the summer camp intensives to be considered for RY. If joining TRF after these camps, Miss Tiff may still select 1-3 students per year to join the team. This is based on excellent merit and attendance. 4 groups:
Recreational Company (Dancers)
Competitive Company (Dancers)
Recreational Ensemble (Singers/Actors)
Competitive Ensemble (Singers/Actors)


*NOTE: Ability and years of experience will also contribute to a child's class placement. Class placement is not always based on age alone.
