Welcome to the Rice Mansion! Carrying the namesake of one of Houston’s flagship universities, this, breath-taking, historic Mansion was built in 1910. Now, it is one of Houston's premiere event destinations full of this great city’s history, spirit and stories. Mr. Mathew Knowles, renowned entrepreneur and father of Beyoncé Knowles, purchased the house in 2000 and has since lovingly made major renovations that have added modern touches throughout the mansion while retaining its historic charm- perfect for the modern bride, an intimate and unique event and celebration or a change of scene from the same, bland corporate meeting space.

From the dramatic entrance and ample, up-lit outdoor deck, you're invited into an elegant escape into luxury. The hardwood floors and wooden touches along the grand staircase date from 1910 and invite your modern revelry to dance with history.

The Rice Mansion includes three well-appointed floors over 6,000 square feet with an open and spacious floor plan that flows from room to room and floor to floor. Large windows throughout the mansion provide impressive views of the Downtown Houston skyline. There is plenty of room for your choice of a sit down meal, hors d'oeuvres, mingling and dancing the night away.
