The River Ministries

"Fruit trees of all kinds will grow along both sides of the river. The leaves will never turn brown and fall, and there will always be fruit on their branches. There will be a new crop every month for they are watered by the river flowing from the temple. The fruit will be for food and the leaves for healing." Ezekiel 47:12

Nestled in the foothills of North Carolina, overlooking the banks of the Green River, is a small rustic lodge with a huge spiritual foot print. The River Ministries came out of an encounter with the Holy Spirit in 1990 that lead property owners, Bill and Beth Calton, to provide a place for ministry groups.


At TRM, our goal is to make the facility very affordable and available to all seekers of the Lord Jesus Christ. It’s a place where discipline, renewal and training is obtained by all who hunger for Him.


The River Ministries is more than the lodge, the river, the hills, the woods and the serenity and beauty of North Carolina. It is also a place of great learning and worship. Dawn Jordan, who is the Executive Director, and all of the Calton family are deeply involved in seeing all who come to the property know Christ and draw closer to His creation and His plan for their life.


At TRM we lead small groups, like band of brothers and band of sisters, and special weekend retreats for men, women and children. We also work with local civic groups and schools in outdoor education, agriculture development and livestock management.


We also partner with other ministries like New Wilderness Adventures, Fellowship of the Sword and Women at the Well to bring events to our location.
