Christianity was never intended to be a religion, but a reflection of whom Jesus is. He called those who believed in Him to walk the way He did, speak the way He did, and do what He did. We at the Rock prioritize discipleship because Jesus does. Discipleship is actually living like Jesus, not just pretending to on social media or at a church service.
Value 1: Live
Live from true identity
(Matt 3, Eph 1, 2 Cor 5)
Discipleship should be rooted in identity.
True identity.
There are a lot of voices in our culture aggressively vying for our agreement
about our identity.
We believe that Jesus declares who we are;
the more we know Him, the more we become the people He created us to be.
Value 2: Be
Being a family beyond a building
(Acts 2)
Family was always God's plan to rescue and redeem back the world.
We are excited to be a part of that plan. To create a culture of family, a culture of community. A people not a place.
A people that represent who Jesus is.
A community where everyone belongs,
where people share in their wins and
losses in life and where genuine
friendships cultivate and grow.
Value 3: Engage
Engage the world in the world
(Matt 9)
We believe Jesus is passionate about where we are and the lives we lead;
Jesus didn’t go to the church to find His friends, He went to the world.
Jesus recklessly gave himself away.
He gave his best. His all.
We at the Rock, as a family, want to give the best of what we have to the world too.
We desire to give our time, our talents and our treasures to see the city of Roseville, our local neiborhoods, our workplace, our schools and our homes become all God intended and created them to be.
