The Shoppe in the City

The Shoppe in the City is a venue for Lake County Educational Service Center’s Vocational Solutions for Adults. The Shoppe will sell merchandise that can be purchased separately or in baskets assembled by adults with disabilities. The store will be staffed by the same adults who are creating the gift baskets. The products sold will be from local businesses with a concentration on Lake County.
Our sister store, Unique Like Me, carries products that are handmade by students with disabilities, as well as being staffed by the same students.
The goal of The Shoppe in the City is to provide adults with disabilities supported employment to help them reach the greatest level of independence, while also providing another avenue for local businesses to have exposure. By shopping with us, you are helping us to achieve this goal!
