My family and I are so excited to be in Valdosta and fulfilling this calling on our lives. God called us to Valdosta to start a new church, to seek and save the lost. The Shoreline Church is founded on the Good News of Jesus Christ as detailed in the Bible—God’s gift to us through the ages to better know Him and understand each other. Our worship builds on that and strives to engage seekers with God’s message and purpose for their lives.
In John 21, we see the resurrected Jesus on the shore as an exhausted and dejected group of disciples are fishing out on the lake with no success. He calls them to the shore and invites them to fellowship with Him. He sends them out to build the church. This is God’s calling on us.
As I drive around Lowndes County, I see lakes and I think about Jesus on that shore in Galilee. We are all sinners in need of a Savior. Jesus calls us to the shore, saving us and equipping us to go forth to make followers. This mirrors the purpose of Shoreline: to worship Jesus and know Him better so that we can go out and tell people about what Jesus has done for me, serving and loving all we meet.
Please join us on this journey,
