The Sound Shop Recording Studio is a business owned by Josh Ford (AKA Motor City Josh) and wife Stacia Petrie Ford, specializing in real music played by real musicians! Sorry, but NO RAP!

We offer a world class acoustically correct facility with service at a VERY fair price. We love to work with Blues, Jazz, Rock, Country, Pop, Gospel, full band, solo artists, choirs, voiceovers, spoken word, poetry, audio books on CD, comedians and more.

Here is a list of services that we offer:

Producing, arranging, co-writing, recording, tracking, overdubs, mixing, mastering, commercials, jingles, karaoke sing along, studio musician referral, producer referral, engineer referral, live recording in house and a mobile live recording rig, CD duplication, music publishing, internet music marketing, school field trips and much much more!

The comfortable 3000 square foot studio was designed by award winning acoustic consultant and recording studio designer Glenn Brown. The rooms are mathematically shaped and acoustically tuned for a great sound every time.

We offer an eclectic blend of analog loves digital and digital loves analog.
The heartbeat of our control room is a Trident 70 series analog mixing console with a pedigree. Many great albums have been done on this desk, but we only care about yours.

With a nice selection of analog out board gear, great microphones, tons of plug-ins and our Pro Tools HD Native system, we have the right tools to get the job done and do it well!

The studio is Located just north of Detroit MI in Macomb MI. Main cross roads are M-59 (Hall road) and Gratiot Ave Right off I-94.
