The Technology Center

For over four decades, The Technology Center, formerly named Calhoun-Orangeburg Vocational Education Center (COVEC), has been dedicated to helping students advance their lives through career and technical education. The Technology Center has earned several honors such as the Blue Ribbon School of Excellence Light House Award, Palmetto Gold and is a Red Carpet school. A significant component of The Technology Center experience is the opportunity for ALL students in OCSD5 to explore career and technical education in 13 different career programs. By taking career related electives, students learn job skills and enhance their academic skills through application and hands-on activities. This process will assist them in post high school activities whether they are continuing their education or entering the workforce.
