The Texas Ranch House

The Texas Ranch House is at home in a beautiful historic building that was built in 1938 by Michael Glasscock. It reflects his love of western decor, from the W.R. Dallas lighting fixtures throughout the store to the 30X60' mural painted on the back room walls.The mural is of his ranch, located 15 miles north of the store.The outside of the building was a Gulf Service station, the front room was home to the Ranch House Cafe. The back room was used as a dance hall from 1938 until the early 1970's. It has been host to celebrities such as Howard Hughes, Roy Rogers and Dale Evans, and John Wayne to name a few.
