The Twentieth Century Club, Pittsburgh

The Twentieth Century Club, a landmark in the heart of Oakland, is a popular venue for regional events and weddings, but enjoys a history steeped in leadership and tradition as a private club whose membership has maintained the Beaux Arts building for more than a century since its founding in 1894.

The TCC today provides members with a wide array of professional, educational, cultural, social and travel opportunities, including programs by well-known Pittsburghers such as broadcast personality Lynn Cullen, Warhol Museum director Eric Shiner, Pittsburgh Symphony Concertmaster Noah Bendix Balgley, real estate magnate Helen Hanna Casey, Gregory Kenney performing as Louis Armstrong, and nationally known mystery writer Kathleen George.

Current members of both women and men represent the region’s legal, financial, academic, and cultural fields, among others, contributing to the club’s present and future through leadership and their individual community profiles. The Club is renowned in Pittsburgh for its elegant Art Deco Ballroom, where for many decades beginning in the 1930's, Pittsburgh’s youth came to learn ballroom dancing and where brides and their grooms have danced the night away. The Club also caters a wide variety of public events in the Ballroom and its equally renowned Art Deco Dining Room as well of many of its well-appointed but smaller meeting rooms that are ideal for meetings, small private gatherings, bridge parties and the like.
