The Villa provides a specialized residential program for youth who have demonstrated a history of truancy, emotional disturbance, family conflict and difficulties in the community. This specialized program will be comprehensive and address the physical, cognitive, social, educational and emotional needs of the youth so that they can become productive members of society. Services will be provided to a targeted population in an effort to address school refusal, strengthen family relationships and support systems while developing age appropriate social skills. A program focus will be the skill development necessary for reunification with family and introduction into the public school system. Specifically, The Villa provides residential care to children and adolescents coming from a variety of environments, including a designated number of beds available for children and adolescents being discharged from psychiatric hospitals, but are not able to be reunified with their families or placed in a less restrictive level of care immediately.
